The cake I provide for cake smash sessions is a simple, sweet little naked cake, but if you're looking for something a little (or a lot) over the top, Anna can make just the thing!
Intoxibakes
Like the name implies, their specialty is alcohol-infused sweet treats — but they also make perfect little cake smash cakes! Also, now I want to do a cake smash for a grown-up. How fun would that be?
Queen City Bakery
This is the ideal downtown meetup spot for pre-session consultations. But they also sell special occasion cakes, and they're absolutely delicious.
Ginger's Bakehouse
I haven't had the pleasure of trying this bakery, but it's come highly recommended, and everything on their website looks so, so good!
Sinless Sweets
Looking for a vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free option? Then Sinless Sweets is the destination for you! Aside from cakes, they offer cookies, cinnamon rolls, and edible cookie dough. Yum!
Hy-Vee Bakery
I almost hate to say it, but the local Hy-Vee is an excellent option, especially in a time crunch! Their bakers are super-talented, and their 5" double-round yellow cakes with white whipped frosting are perfect for cake smash sessions.
