A Few of My Favorite Things

I am completely obsessed with styling newborn and first year milestone photo sessions. The tiny outfits, the little props... it's all so cute! Let's have a look at a few of my all-time favorite additions to my client closet and prop box, just for fun. And hey, if you think there's something I need to add to my collections, let me know! It might just show up in next year's list.

Topping this list is what might be the cues winter-baby outfit I've ever seen, this little capelet set by Lily Mily Boutique. First of all, it's CUTE. Like, cuteness overload levels of cute. And it's been carefully designed to fit a baby perfectly, and sewn to last. This set is in the client closet in blue and in a soft pink — seriously, everything Lily Mily makes is SO adorable! She's also open to custom order requests and since she's so creative, anything you collab on will be SUPER cute!
Tiny Teddy Bear by Sweet Pea Hats
These darling little bears by Sweet Pea Hats are exactly the perfect size for tiny newborn hands, and they're so soft! They come in a range of colors, from neutrals to pastels and everything in between. They're also budget-friendly, at less than $20 each. Love!
Tiny Fishing Pole by Sunnymelon Newborn Goodies
If mommy or daddy are into fishing, this wee fishing pole with little fishies is a must-have. It's the perfect size for baby to hold, or to add to a fishing-themed setup. Everything SunnyMelon makes is top-quality and so truly unique — when she's not making adorable newborn props, she's a stellar photographer, so she knows first-hand what's going to work (and look) best.
Little Chickie Outfit by Modest Little Me
Okay, this is the sweetest little outfit for any springtime or Easter-themed session, right? Modest Little Me offers a range of the most perfect seasonal outfits for Christmas and winter, and Easter and spring. Check out her little Elf outfits for newborns and sitters... seriously, how is EVERYTHING she makes so cute?
Birthday Hats by Cutest Little Party
Available in a range of colors and designs, Cutest Little Party makes the CUTEST little party... hats! Half birthday, birthday, and even two-year hats are listed on Etsy, along with loads of other coordinating props and party supplies. Side note: I have little outfits to match these hats... just saying!
Cake Smash Outfits by Pup & Frank
Last on my list are the line of sweet little 2-piece outfits by Pup and Frank. Based in Canada, this vendor makes these darling outfits in just about any theme or color you can imagine (this blue is my favorite). They're designed to fit babies from 8 months to 18 months, and I just love them!
Newborn Posing Backdrops + Wraps by Hello Little Props
The Rousewives, creative geniuses behind Hello Little Studio, offer a range of newborn posing backdrops and matching wraps (along with so many other props and posing aids), and this particular one is a client favorite. Everything Hello Little offers has been tested in real-life in their own studio, and I can't remember the last newborn photo session I did that did NOT include something they've created.
